PRAYERS WE RECOMMEND
THE LORD’S PRAYER WALKTHROUGH
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
(I start by talking to God about how He is above everything. I imagine Him on His throne in the presence of all the angels and saints. I listen to the birds and the sounds around me. I remember God is not bound by the realities of this world. And I pray something like this:
"God, you are in heaven. You see all and know all, and time is in your hands. I am very much down here on earth, where all sorts of things are pressing in on me, trying to take my attention off of you. Help me to fix my eyes on eternal things. I worship you because you are above all things. Help me to remember the reality of heaven in my day, today."
Your kingdom come, Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
(I acknowledge that God's will is done through my participation here on this earth. He will do what He wants with or without me, but He is inviting me to be a part of bringing heaven down.)
"God, help me see all the ways you are bringing light and life down from heaven, through me, to others. Holy Spirit, I invite you to open my eyes to God's will throughout this day!"
Give us today our daily bread.
(I remember all the ways God has provided for me the day before, and I ask Him to do it again today.)
"God, you tell us you will supply our every need.
Give me everything I need to love my neighbor.
Give me patience as a mother. Give me love for my spouse. Give me creativity and vision for my work. Help me to remember that I have abundance in you, not scarcity. Open my eyes to ways I can serve others out of that abundance today."
And forgive us our debts,
(I reflect on the ways I've come up short before
God. I ask God to reveal to me who I might need to ask forgiveness from.)
"God, forgive me for all the ways I've not trusted you. Forgive me for all the ways my heart has chosen to put something else above you. Holy Spirit, convict me of my sin and reveal to me how I've lived with a "me first" attitude. Thank you for your gentleness in showing me. God, reveal to me any person whom I've hurt. Give me a heart humble enough to speak my shortcomings to that person."
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
(I ask God to show me any person I am holding a grudge against. I ask God to help me to be gracious in my interactions with others.)
"God, show me my grudges and resentments.
My heart is cold toward -___________________.
Help me to forgive them. Give me courage to work it out with them. Because you were first gracious to me, help me to have grace and humility when others hurt me."
And lead us not into temptation,
(I ask God to be near, leading me in the direction of life in every detail of my day. I ask for specific protection from temptations I struggle with repeatedly.)
"God, be with me. Lead me in the way of life. I am tempted to rely on my own strength, Lord. I am tempted to become angry quickly. I am tempted to live in a scarcity mindset. Lord, in my weakness, lead me instead in your strength, your love, and your abundance."
but deliver us from the evil one.
(I ask for protection from the enemy. The spiritual world is real, so I ask for a shield about my life.)
"Lord, guard my mind, my spirit, my body, my family, my friends, and my home from any evil thing against me. Lord, protect me; be a shield of protection against the enemy and his schemes and the war going on around me that I cannot see. Jesus, you are already victorious. You are in me. God, protect me in the name of Jesus.
Yours is the kingdom - Lord, you are the rightful ruler over all creation.
Yours is the power - Lord, you have the authority and ability to answer my petitions.
Yours is the glory - Lord, shift my focus away from my needs back to your worthiness, as I praise you, even before I experience your provision.
Forever. Amen - And Lord, please anchor this prayer in eternity and help me to remember that no matter how you respond, your kingdom is without end. Amen.
THE CLEANSING PRAYER
NOTE: This is a good one for the prayer team after a big breakthrough or ministry moments.
Lord Jesus, thank You for sharing Your wonderful ministry of healing and deliverance with us. Thank You for the healings we have seen and experienced.
But we recognize that what we encounter is more than our humanity can bear, so we ask You now to cleanse us. Cleanse us of any sadness, negativity, or despair that we may have picked up.
If anything in us has been stirred toward anger, impatience, or lust, we ask that You remove it and replace it with Your love, Your joy, and Your peace.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who came in the flesh, we take authority now and break any backlash, revenge, retaliation, or transference of spirits coming against us and our families. We cancel every assignment against our health, well-being, bodies, relationships, finances, inheritances, ministries, purpose, destiny, pets, jobs, callings, and everything connected to us.
We cover all of these things with the blood of Jesus Christ.
And if any evil spirits have attached themselves to us or are oppressing us in any way, we command you now to depart and go directly to Jesus Christ for Him to deal with as He wills.
Come, Holy Spirit, renew us. Fill us again with Your power, Your life, and Your Peace. Strengthen us where we have felt weak, and clothe us with Your light. Fill us with life.
Lord Jesus, send Your holy angels to minister to us and our families, to guard and protect us from all harm.
We praise You now and forever. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
THE BACKLASH PRAYER
NOTE: This is a good one for the person being prayed for after a big breakthrough or ministry moments -
"In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth Who came in the flesh, I break any Backlash, Revenge spirits, Retaliation, and any transference of spirits against myself, my family, our loved ones, our health, our well-being, our bodies, relationships, finances, inheritances, ministries, purpose, destiny, pets, jobs, callings, and everything and anything that has to do with us, and cover all these things with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth Who came in the flesh. Amen”
THE CANOPY PRAYERS
Step 1: Create the Canopy
“I create a Canopy over, around, and below [location] as follows:”
“I cleanse and fortify [the location] by applying the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who came in the flesh to seal each room, window, and door at the location. Let the blood be applied on the outside of the Canopy, and over and around the doors and windows all the way to the property line.”
“Let the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who came in the flesh, cleanse, and the angels of God seal off and guard every entrance to wires, pipes, telephone and cable lines, and every other unknown communication source and frequency employed by the Power of darkness.”
“I place two-way sight and sound barriers and shields around the inside and outside of the Canopy.”
Step 2: Cleanse the Canopy
Say: “I cleanse and fortify the Canopy over, under, and around our property and buildings with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth who came in the flesh and with the purifying fire of the Holy Spirit.“
“I call down the light and fire of the Holy Spirit to burn every demonic entity underneath this canopy that is outside of people. And to destroy all devices that have been introduced demonically into this atmosphere.”
“I ask the angels of God to escort out all human spirits who have astral-projected into this space, invited or uninvited, and remove them from this property. Amen”
Step 3: Prep the Canopy (if needed)
If you have people visiting, when they are there, or you can call them by name ahead of time:
“I paralyze any demons inside of people until midnight (or whatever time length you will be with them) so we can have free communication. Amen”
Step 4: Cleanse the Canopy Daily
