WORSHIP

Glorious Day

[Verse 1]
I was buried beneath my shame
Who could carry that kind of weight
It was my tomb 'til I met You

[Verse 2]
I was breathing but not alive
All my failures I tried to hide
It was my tomb 'til I met You

[Chorus]
('Cause when) You called my name (and)
I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day
You called my name (and) I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day

[Verse 3]
Now Your mercy has saved my soul
Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new Jesus when I met You

[Bridge]
I needed rescue my sin was heavy
But chains break at the weight of Your glory
I needed shelter I was an orphan
Now You call me a citizen of Heaven
When I was broken You were my healing
Now Your love is the air that I'm breathing
I have a future my eyes are open

All If For Your Glory

[Verse 1]
There's just one chief end to man's purpose
One main reason for existence
All man's vain and high ambitions
Will one day be brought low
Will one day be brought low

[Verse 2]
To treasure You above all others
To love You like we love no other
And Your greatness soon will be uncovered
And all the earth will then know
And all the earth will then know

[Pre-Chorus]
For You alone will be exalted in that day
And worthless goals will be exposed as idols that we've made
For You alone will be exalted in that day
And You'll be seen as rightful King and from our hearts, we'll say!...

[Chorus]
That all is for Your glory
And all is for Your name
And all is for Your glory
That in all things You may have first place
That in all things You may have preeminence
That all is for Your glory
And all is for Your name
And all is for Your glory
That in all things You may have first place
That in all things You may have preeminence

‘Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus

[Verse 1]
'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus
Just to take Him at His word
Just to rest upon His promise
Just to know thus saith the Lord

[Chorus 1]
Jesus Jesus how I trust Him
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er
Jesus Jesus precious Jesus
O for grace to trust Him more

[Verse 2]
O how sweet to trust in Jesus
Just to trust His cleansing blood
Just in simple faith to plunge me
'Neath the healing cleansing flood

[Verse 3]
Yes 'tis sweet to trust in Jesus
Just from sin and self to cease
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest and joy and peace

[Verse 4]
I'm so glad I learned to trust Thee
Precious Jesus Savior Friend
And I know that Thou art with me
Wilt be with me to the end

ANNOUNCEMENTS

If you are a first-time guest, you can fill out our Get Connected Form.
https://rock.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/325/responses/new

One of our values is community. Meaning, we want to be the church beyond the building. One of the ways that we live this out is through Acts 2 Communities. We have previously called these "Community Groups." However, we are changing the name to Acts 2 Communities because it better reflects the vision of these groups. If you are interested in joining a community group, visit our website (https://www.rockofroseville.com/acts2). or email us (community@rockofroseville.com)

Next week we will be starting Men’s Morning Devotionals on Zoom. These will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays at 7am. If you are interested in joining us, visit our website: https://www.rockofroseville.com/mens-morning-devotionals.html

You can give your Tithes and Offerings online: https://rock.ccbchurch.com/goto/giving

MESSAGE NOTES

Today’s message: Maybe We Can Still Heal You | Sean Pattersom

Over the past few weeks, we have been in a message series called, A View From The Rock. If you missed any of the messages in this series, you can get caught up:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrEv__Oj59QdHRPkAK7Lm2mrHzOOMYxjD

If God can put man and woman back together, he can put the world back together.

When Jesus was beginning His public ministry and was recruiting people to serve with Him, He said three things:
  1. “Follow me...” (community)
  2. “I’ll make you…” (identity)
  3. “Fishers of men.” (mission).

Over and over again you see this pattern in scripture as the way in which God saves us, sanctifies us and uses us to fulfill His purposes.

The less you need community, the less you are like God.

There can be no supernatural character change without real, true, deep involvement in community.

Rich community requires two things: Acceptance and Loyalty.

“You may have 99 sin problems, but a savior ain’t 1.” - Sean Patterson

Takeaway Questions:
  1. How has being part of community helped you look more like God?
  2. Is it hard or easy for you to be vulnerable with others? How does that affect your ability to connect with others?
  3. Community requires both acceptance and loyalty. How have you experienced acceptance and/or loyalty in community?
