5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Developing Your Trust in God

• Discover the trustworthy nature of God
• Looking back at your life and ask God, “Where have I missed your involvement in my life? What things did you do that I have not given you credit for?”
• Talk with mature believers about how they learned to trust God

Rebuilding Your Trust in God

• Relinquish your blame
• Tell Him why you’re disappointed, angry, etc.
• Talk it out with Him and talk it through with Him
  

Strengthening Your Trust in God

• Help others. One of the most important things you can teach another believer is how to trust and love God.
• Teach them what you know about God
• Share your history with God (your faith stories that have taught you to trust in God)
• Sharing your story strengthens your trust and faith in the God of your story
