Joan Nordberg
Food Pantry & Kitchen Director
Joan Nordberg serves as the Kitchen Director and Food Pantry Coordinator at The Rock of Roseville, where she helps oversee both the practical and relational aspects of these ministries. From managing the kitchen to leading the food pantry, she brings a steady hand and a heart to serve, always working to “iron out the wrinkles” and create environments where people feel cared for and connected. At the core of it all, Joan is passionate about building community and fostering meaningful relationships.
Joan and her family came to The Rock in the summer of 2008 while searching for the place God was calling them to plant roots. From the very beginning, it felt like home, and it’s been that way ever since. Over the years, she has continued to grow deeply in community, most recently through Abide, where she’s found a meaningful connection with a group of women marked by honesty, vulnerability, and encouragement.
Outside of church, Joan’s greatest joy is spending time with her family, her husband, her daughters, their husbands, and all of their grandchildren. When she’s not with them, you’ll likely find her in her garden with her chickens, enjoying the quiet beauty of creation. She loves the simple things: morning coffee surrounded by the fragrance of sweet peas and citrus blossoms, camping with her family, worship, and even taking ballet.
